The basic idea of developing an Emergency Response Team (ERT) is to perform specific task needed in an emergency. A Emergency Response Team (ERT) may self activate (self-deploy) when their internal response protocol is activated. An effort is made to report there response to status to the sponsoring agency. The Emergency Response Team (ERT) will size-up the incident and begin performing the skills they have learn to minimize further loss of life, property and environment . They will continue to respond safely until redirected or relieved by the sponsoring agency.
